Draft notice. This is a basic draft prepared for a prototype and requires final review by the site owner and qualified legal counsel before it can be relied upon.

This Privacy Policy describes how PH Mechanic (the "Platform") handles information when you use the site. The Platform is currently operated as a prototype.

1. Information we handle

Because the Platform is a prototype, the information we handle is intentionally limited:

  • Directory data. Shop information you view is stored on the Platform for display in the directory.
  • Local device data. When you submit a shop listing or interact with the admin dashboard, some data may be saved only in your own browser's local storage. This data is not transmitted to a production database and can be cleared by clearing your browser storage.
  • Sign-in details. The sign-in screen is a demo. It does not currently create a secure production account or store credentials on a server.

2. What we do not do

The Platform currently does not:

  • Operate secure production authentication or encrypted credential storage.
  • Process real payments or store payment card details.
  • Run verified background checks on mechanics or shops.
  • Operate a real-time emergency dispatch service.
  • Sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies and analytics

The Platform may use browser storage to remember your preferences and demo activity. It does not currently deploy a production analytics or advertising tracker managed by PH Mechanic.

4. Third-party services

Some pages embed images, maps, or fonts served by third parties. Those third parties may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.

5. Data retention

Data written to your browser's local storage stays there until you clear it. Directory content stays on the Platform for as long as it is useful for the prototype.

6. Your choices

You can clear the Platform's local data at any time from your browser settings. If you have submitted a shop listing through the demo and want it removed, contact the address below.

7. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 13.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
